desert island awesome

these are stories i would take with me to a desert island. i love them madly and re-read them often. there aren't actually that many of these; they have to touch me in some not-easily-defined way, and not much does.

pretty awesome

these stories are excellent. sexy, funny, plotty, witty, angsty, whatever calls to me at the time. they may not be on my desert island, but they're in definitely in my heart. there are a few hundred of these, in a bunch of fandoms.

very nearly awesome

these are very good stories that had maybe one or two things that didn't quite tweak me the right way. maybe i wasn't quite in the mood for that sort of story, or maybe there are a few grammatical errors, or maybe it was a really good idea not executed as well as i hoped. all very solid and worth reading, though.

other types of awesome

in my delicious, there are a few other types of awesome that i decided didn't really need to be on my site. i don't really use them all that often. they are:

  • old school awesome: mostly harry potter stories from Back In The Day. many of the stories with this tag are considered classics of the pairing ("the pairing," of course, being snape/harry), and most were written before OotP came out.
  • cracktastically awesome: usually coincides with did i mention the crack?. what can i say? i enjoy a good crackfic every now and again.
  • awesomely awful: this one is touchier, because i don't want to hurt anyone's feelings. i consider these stories to be badfic of the very best kind. hilarious and fun and, sometimes, exactly what i'm looking for.
